SCO Memebers has a great opportunity to boost Energy and trade due to CPEC

Pakistan Ambassador to China, Masood Khalid says China Pakistan Economic Corridor provides opportunities to the member states of Shanghai Cooperation Organization  to boost energy export, trade potential by using Pakistan as a transit point. He was speaking at the Belt and Road Innovation and Development Forum in Hong Kong. He said, the Belt and Road Initiative has become a key instrument to regional and international connectivity and it is set to bring together different regions and shrink the distance among civilizations.

Trade between Pakistan and other parts of the world will get a significant boost with the completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Pakistan, being an active member of Shanghai Cooperation Organization, can improve bilateral relations with the member countries to improve its exports. CPEC is going to be the biggest forum in terms of population. Pakistan will also gain access to a wider market and therefore, needs to bring competitiveness in its products.

Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani says holding general elections on time is necessary to strengthen the democratic system in the country. Talking to media men in Karachi today, he said constitution is the supreme and all institutions should work within the ambit of the constitution. And, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said there is no room for technocrat set up in the Constitution. Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique says PMN (N) leadership has urged the political parties to make required amendments in the constitution after the new census to ensure the holding of the general elections on time.

“Continuity of democracy is essential for the progress and development of any country. People use representatives by the power of their votes, who on in turn devise policies for public welfare. Present government completed the task of holding census in a challenging environment when the whole nation and army is busy fighting the menace of terrorism. Delimitation after census is a legal requirement and this task should be completed sooner to hold the next elections on time.”
